Centre releases Revised Draft Model GST Law, Draft IGST Law and Draft Compensation Law

A revised version of the draft GST laws has been released by the Ministry of Finance on its website of Central Board of Excise and Customs.

As per the tweet of Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Adhia these laws will be considered and finalised by the GST Council on December 2-3.

Earlier, the Draft Model GST Law was made available in the public domain in the month of June 2016 for comments.A large number of comments were received from various trade and industry associations. These suggestions were discussed in various formal and informal meetings between the Centre and State.

These laws will be considered by the GST Council on December 2-3 and finalised," Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Adhia tweeted.
